Curb appeal is one of the most important things when you go to sell your home. I’m sure you’ve heard hundreds of times that you never get a second chance to make a first impression. Now that summer is finally here (in Anchorage, Memorial Day weekend is the traditional planting time when the danger of frost is past), it’s important to take a look at your yard and flower beds.
Make sure to keep your lawn neat, mowed, and edged. If you have any trees or shrubs in front of your home, keep them pruned if needed and keep bark mulch or decorative rock under them so they look neat and tidy. Weed your flower beds, and add a touch of color with some annual flowers. Hanging baskets are also a good way to add some color to the front of your home. If you don’t have a garden, a few pots of colorful flowers on your front porch is a nice touch.
The goal is to get buyers who drive by interested enough to set up a showing for the inside of your home. If you want some help or specific pointers, please contact me!
