Garden uses for vinegar

You may know that I’m a fan of vinegar.  It can be used for so many things, from cleaning to odor reduction to laundry softener.  Since it’s summer and gardening season, I thought I’d share a few garden related uses for vinegar:

Add a cup of vinegar to a gallon of water to use for watering acid loving plants like azaleas, rhododendrums, or blueberries.

To freshen cut flowers, add 1 tablespoon of vinegar to the water in your vase.  You can also add 1/2 a teaspoon of sugar.
