When Should You Appeal Your Tax Assessed Value and How Do You Prepare For Earthquakes?

After the shakeup we had on Saturday night I thought it would be a good time to talk about earthquake preparedness. Alaska is an especially vulnerable state when it comes to earthquakes, and our supply chain is susceptible to being disrupted making food after a quake hard to find. So, how do you prepare to minimize the damage from an earthquake and be well equipped for the time after it? I’ll talk about that in the video below.

On a different note, the Municipality of Anchorage has sent out its notifications of tax assessed value. If you think your tax assessed value of you home is a little high, then now is the time to appeal it and have it reduced back down to where it belongs. Watch my video below to find out how, and, of course, I’d be happy to help you with the process if you have any questions.
