Home Maintenance
Reminders, Tips & Hints
Current Tip :
If you have strong cooking odors you need to get rid of (especially before a showing of your house), just boil 2 cups of vinegar in a pot on the stove. The vinegar will absorb the odors, and your house will smell fresh again.
Previous tips:
Recipe for a clean drain: If your drains are clogged and you don’t have any commercial drain cleaner handy, try the following: pour ½ cup baking soda down the drain, followed by ½ cup of distilled white vinegar or lemon juice. The combination will bubble and fizz. Wait 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse the drain with hot water.

Keep wire connectors on hand to use as caps for glue bottles and caulking tubes. Purchase an assortment pack and you'll always have the right size for any nozzle. |
